Tourist attractions in Alicante
Alicante’s biggest strengths are its beaches. The seafront promenades are beautiful by day or by night and are home to many seafood restaurants in which you will enjoy excellent cuisine. Alicante’s historic castle also provides an excellent view of the sea! It is worth taking a look at the famous landmark Cara del Moro. This rock formation lies upon the side of a cliff and has a strong resemblance to a human face!
If the blue sea and golden sands are proving too much for you, then Alicante also has lots of parks in which you can relax and escape the bustle of the city. Or if you fancy heading indoors it is also home to some great museums, the Museum of Fine Arts, known as the MUBAG, has an incredible collection of art, period furniture, textiles and more. There is also a great archaeological museum which has exhibits about Alicante’s population, from prehistoric to present.
